The Story goes...
The story goes, in a land far, far away, there lived a King named Labraidh. He had a special secret that he wanted to keep hidden from the world - he had horse's ears!
Labraidh required a haircut once every year, and unfortunately, the barber chosen by chance would immediately be put to death after cutting Labraidh's hair. One particular year, a widow in the village learned that her only son had been chosen as the king's barber. She loved her son very much and couldn't bear the thought of losing him. She went to the king and begged him to spare her son's life. The king granted her request on one condition: as long as the barber kept his secret.
The burden of keeping Labraidh's secret became too heavy for the barber to bear. He fell ill and didn't know what to do. Thankfully, a wise druid came to his aid and told him about a magical solution - a special tree hole in the forest. The druid advised the barber to find the first tree he saw, whisper his secret into the tree hole, and it would take away his burden and make him feel better again.
And so, the tale of the barber and the magical tree hole was passed down through the generations.
People learned that sometimes it's okay to share our secrets with someone or something we trust. It can help us feel lighter and happier, just like the barber who found solace in the tree hole.
And if you ever feel like you have a secret or a burden too heavy to carry, remember Labraidh and the barber's story. Find your own special tree hole. Share your feelings.
For everyone needs a tree hole, a place to be relieved and safe, and to feel that you are not alone in this big and wonderful world.
